I bought two more balls today. I have…. uh… quick counting… at least four works in some stage of progress. You’d think I’d finish them first? Hardly.
I also got vegetarian haggis in a can and some red grapefruit marmalade, and James’ mom gave me a green shirt that says “I [heart] [...]

I finished three rows today of the shawl I’m knitting. Two more to go, then the edging, and that’s it. I’m so glad… not that I don’t like it, it’s just I’ll feel so happy to have finished this HUGE THING. Well before Christmas even.

I made this for dinner and it is badass. Only thing I’d do differently is I’d mix it up in the morning (or the night before) and have it ready to bake as soon as I got home, because the damn thing wasn’t done till 8:30.
Me and my happy tummy are gonna go knit [...]

I finished this (the green one) and I am going to make THIS, I think out of the same yarn.
I’m almost done my Alien Illusion scarf. I got a big big ball of cotton to make dishcloths/facecloths from. And I’ve decided to knit a bag out of jeans. Obviously the bigger the jeans are, the more strips you can cut them into. So I went to Value Village, headed straight [...]
Here’s some baby jeans I knit for my little neice Natalie (almost 5 months old). It looks like one leg is longer than the other, but that’s just camera trickery.
I love looking at a piece done in stockinette and seeing dozens and dozens of even little stitches. I often stop every few rows and space out the loops on my needles so I can let the work dangle and just look at it for a few moments.
I love that the indigo from the [...]
