oh noes!

I scorched my tomato sauce. So I’ve been looking for remedies on the interwebs. So far the suggestions I’ve found are as follows, so I don’t forget them:

  • add some peanut butter
  • the raw potato trick
  • tie some yeast in a little cloth bag and let it sit in the sauce for a few minutes
  • baking soda
  • curry
  • sugar
  • liquid smoke

Can Elaine save her huge pot of tomato sauce with some unverified and possibly inaccurate kitchen chemistry? Find out tonight! I may also have to resort to calling my mother or possibly even my grandmother.

The other thing my research taught me was that tomato sauce can be dehydrated just like fruit leather.
