Got hit by a car this morning on the way to work. Or more accurately, I hit the car.
Coming down the hill on Quebec St. towards downtown, she was trying to cross First Ave from left to right, thought she had an opening & pulled out in front of me. Said the sun was in her eyes (it was low in the sky in that direction, and very bright). No time for me to stop, I hit her right in front of the passenger door, landed on the hood, she stopped and I rolled off onto the ground in front.
Anyway no serious injuries, my left wrist, right knee, and left ankle are banged up but not broken. I spent the WHOLE DAY at the hospital… after triage it took four hours for a doctor to see me. sucks.
I will find out how the bike is tomorrow! The fork and handlebars are all pointing the wrong way and I think the rim is bent.
