3 days till my birthday. huzzah!
Here’s what went down this week. Yesterday I went to the annual Association for Mineral Exploration trade show, strolled around, ate the candy that they had at all the booths, and looked at the jewelry at the Placer Gold Design booth. I was supposed to visit the mining database software people, but I couldn’t find their booth at all. Oh well.
I also found that the Tuesday special at Steamrollers is vegan and also tasty (well, they all are if you skip the sauce, but then it’s kinda dry – but I mean the Tuesday SAUCE is dairy-free as well).
Yesterday evening James and I went swimming and then got sushi and bubble tea as usual. This is a fairly regular thing by the way, so if anyone else is interested in swimming and sushi you’re welcome to come with us!
This morning I woke up late, booked it to work (pausing briefly to flip off a guy on the Dunsmuir viaduct who, when the guy in front of him wouldn’t let him in, opted to just keep driving alongside him, yelling and swearing out the window, well into the clearly-not-two-lanes-anymore territory, leaving not even enough room for a skinny girl on a bike to fit through), and as soon as I got to the bike locker, started feeling really sick. So I had to sit down for a while and was late for work. It happens sometimes when I get strenuous in cold air, but it was especially bad today. :/
Speaking of bikes I have to get mine built in a hurry! It was my goal to get it done by my birthday. I think I might take Friday off and spend it at the shop.
