tired

I finished three rows today of the shawl I’m knitting. Two more to go, then the edging, and that’s it. I’m so glad… not that I don’t like it, it’s just I’ll feel so happy to have finished this HUGE THING. Well before Christmas even.

I got a pair of shoes today as well, for James’ company party on Saturday. The heels are (for me) freakishly high at three inches. I never wear heels. I’ve NEVER had ones that high and skinny. I’m wearing them around the office today and tomorrow just to make sure they won’t hurt my feet at the party. The receptionist was laughing at me because she said I was walking so funny. Hmph!

And I also made good dinner today. Rice pilaf and roasted vegetables (butternut squash, purple yam, peppers, mushrooms, zucchini and garlic) with fresh sage and rosemary from my back yard. It was kinda nice to have an evening at home, hasn’t happened for a while. Tomorrow looks like the same. I might even have the house TO MYSELF, since James will be in Langley and my roommate will be in Seattle. Imagine that!
