Nevermind that, I’m only going as far as Pender Harbour (see below). No good places to stay in Egmont that were available, just some motels. Shoulda booked earlier, I guess. I booked a room in a nice relaxing B&B (it’s a geodesic dome!) that has private entrance, ensuite, hot tub, etc. Not sure how we’ll get up to Skookumchuck Narrows to see the rapids, which are the largest saltwater rapids in North America, but we’ll figure something out.
So, it’s 55 km from Gibsons instead of 80. I might make that up by biking to Horseshoe Bay instead of bussing.
