I spent $120 on groceries today. It’s the most I’ve spent in a long time, but that’s only because I bought $16 worth of potted plants and $10 worth of vanilla (damn real vanilla is expensive, and that was even the cheap brand ) and $12 worth of saffron. I have never had saffron before, much less bought it, and the price tag would be why. It better astound me with its incomparable flavour. I also got 22 pounds of flour and went hog-wild in the bulk section.
How boring is that, I’m describing my groceries to you? Oh well. I seriously love grocery shopping. It is one of my favourite hobbies. This trip has me in non-perishables for well over a month, and in perishables for about the next week and a bit.
I rearranged some of my kitchen shelves as well.
My to-do list for the rest of the week:
- Clean room
- Tax return
- Send student loan payment to The Man
- Finish knitting this pair of baby jeans
- Have four-day weekend!
