I love looking at a piece done in stockinette and seeing dozens and dozens of even little stitches. I often stop every few rows and space out the loops on my needles so I can let the work dangle and just look at it for a few moments.
I love that the indigo from the denim yarn I’m using turns my hands blue.
I love that my great-grandma and my grandma knitted things for their children, my mother made clothes for me and my sister, and now I’m making pretty things for my sister’s child.
Knitting is just the greatest hobby ever.
