As an aside, I hate the word “hump” when used as a verb. It's strangely, onomatopaeically… revolting. Oddly enough, I like Wednesdays alright.
So here's what's been going on. Monday night after walking home from work and bitching about bird shit I went out with Corey, Diana, Jay, Jessie, Megan, and Taryn. Tiny place called Wink with excellent food. I highly recommend it, everything I tried was excellent. You'll need to look closely to find it though.
Yesterday James came over to spend the night with me. He started his new job this morning, so he figured he'd rather drive the night before than the morning of (he lives 40 minutes away normally, God only knows how long weekday mornings). He's the sole developer for Project Opus, which will be a shitload of work for a non-shitload of money, though still a decent amount. He's stoked though because it will be absolutely stellar to have on his resume, the only reason he even has the job is because the previous guy, based on his experience with that site so far, was made an unbelievably incredible offer elsewhere. Plus, it's something that he enjoys a lot, and you can't undervalue that.
Meanwhile my job has reached new depths of boredom. I ran out of attention span at about 4:30 this afternoon. I sincerely hope that I do not start suffering from depression as I am prone to from time to time, as its worst effect is that it makes me nearly unable to concentrate on anything at all. I remember one semester my junior year where, for a period of two weeks, I was utterly unable to READ. God forbid.
However, the afternoon began looking up, since some better-fitting jewelry is now happily installed in my ear, courtesy of a generous Anatomic employee. Thank you Corey.
So, it's now past my bedtime. I have been meaning to go to Matins every day this week and last - the church is 3 blocks from my place of employ, and Matins start conveniently one hour before work - but I have always convinced myself I was too tired and needed that extra hour of sleep. But, tomorrow morning! I'll do it this time…
