I'm bored and James is at work, so I'll write some more.
Last night I was supposed to meet James and his mom/sister at the Richmond Night Market. Translink's map on their website shows the Knight St. bus going across the bridge to Richmond, but it turns around at Marine Dr. So I walked way the hell across the Knight St. bridge, took me a bit more than half an hour. bah!
I have to add in here that I love my super-cute matching pink undies with blue bows and polka dots. Not only did they give me good luck at my interview but they make me even MORE irresistible. ehehehehe. I'll post pictures sometime.
Then this morning James and I went out for breakfast at the cheapest place we could find, and I got “grilled fresh mushrooms” - well they were mushrooms at least, that's 1/3. Old and fried in a vat of grease.
Then I went to the market in Douglas Park and got some strawberry rhubarb jam and some peaches and then discovered Lizzie's Wools - holy crap she's selling “shawl kits” with four hanks, two handspun/dyed and two commercial stuff for $25. So I headed back to the bank to get more dinero and stopped in at Krazy Bob's Music Emporium along the way. Decided to get some random jazz and he recommended me some funky stuff, but I couldn't talk him down to $6.25 so he recommended some mellow jazz instead. Haven't listened to it yet, we shall see.
So I went back to get yarn… ooh it kicks ass. One hank yellow boucle, one white cotton chenille, one handspun yellow-orangey, and one darker handspun variegated warm colours (both romney). It'll make a sweet shawl.
So now it's sunny and I am thinking of either knitting (socks, I don't have the right size needles for the shawl with me) or taking one of James' bikes and riding off… somewhere.
Tonight I think I will make lentil cornbread and gazpacho. Tomorrow swimming at Harrison? If it's nice.
