The gas station I work at has 14 pumps. They're all pre-pay except for 4 – the front row inside ones, where I can see license plates. Pump six is one of them. Guy parks his truck there, I authorize him, get the plate number since he hasn't pre-paid, and go back to work. Twenty minutes later, I notice it's still there, with only a woman in the passenger seat. Guy pumped $20 worth and wandered off somewhere else. I keep an eye on the truck, since this is strange. Ten minutes later, still there, so the other girl decides to ask a guy over in the fast food section if that's his truck.
Yep, he's been sitting there for half an hour, eating lunch, while his wife/girlfriend/whatever sits in the truck out by the pump. He's almost done and says he'll pay once he's done eating.
Nope. He takes off. After ordering food (which would mean he's on camera), sitting there for 30 minutes while I watch his truck, and personally talking to a gas station attendant, he hoofs it without paying.
Weird.
